- Site Auditor
- Backlink Analyzer
These tools working together provide you with capabilities to take control of your website SEO and beat the competition.
SERP Rank Tracking #
With the help of the Rank Tracker tool, you can easily analyze and keep track of your daily rankings. We update rank tracker data every 24 hours so that you have the latest and most accurate ranking data in your dashboard.
Competitor Analysis #
Our Rank Tracker is a handy tool to analyze the competitor websites for the keywords you are ranking. You get traffic, position, and type of SERP result data for the competition from the same dashboard.
Keyword Exploration #
Ranklogs’ Keyword Explorer is a valuable tool that helps you find the relevant keyword ideas and traffic estimations. Search for keywords ideas for any location and in any language along with critical parameters like Search Volume, Keyword Difficulty, Trend, Type of SERP, and more.
Traffic Monitoring #
Ranklogs allows you to track desktop and mobile rankings for any location 24/7, allowing you a microscopic view of the website traffic. Discover keywords you are already ranking for, explore new opportunities, and boost traffic.
Site Auditing #
Ranklogs Site Auditor is a powerful tool for finding SEO errors. Our crawler quickly evaluates all the pages it finds on your website (or you can set the number of URLs to crawl). The overall SEO health score is broken down into easy to under errors. Our Site Auditor also provides you with recommendations to fix the issues.
Backlink Analyzer #
Modern SEO demands you gauze the quality of the backlinks. With Ranklogs, it is convenient to ensure the quality of the backlink profile. You can also use Backlink Analyzer to determine where your competitors get their backlinks.
Starting With Ranklogs Rank Tracker #
Our Rank Tracker makes accurate ranking checks easier than ever and tracks the progress of your website continuously.
Before you can discover the ranking opportunities (or Hidden Gems as we call them!) and start tracking your site’s rankings, some preparation is involved to add your first project. Don’t think too much; it is a simple and intuitive process, and here’s how you will do it.
Welcome to the Project Dashboard.
We have kept things simple for you. Adding a website is an easy and single-click process.
Start by Adding a Website #
In the Website URL field, add the HTTPS or WWW version of the URL and add a name for the website in the next field.
Specify your target location #
Targeting a location will help you get more accurate and better results. Rank Tracker is designed to not only target countries but geo-specific cities (we like to be precise!).
Setup: Start typing the location you want to track in the’ Location’ field. The tool will auto retrieve the location from our database, and you can select it from the drop-down.
Set the Language #
Rank Tracker can track SERP results in any language; you can select any language for your project, by default, it is English.
Select the Search Engine #
Rank Tracker allows you to track rankings in 6 major search engines-Google, Bing, Yahoo, Yandex, Baidu, and Google Maps. This gives you a chance to win over a broader target audience. Google, Bing, and Yahoo are the top 3 search engines to rank in for international visitors. Still, Baidu and Yandex further increase your domain if you want to target visitors from a specific country or area.
To set up your target Search Engine, select the one from the Drop Down in the Search Engine field.
Decide on the type of Device #
We allow you to track rankings as per a device. This is important for some search engines such as Google that have different SERP results for mobile and desktop devices. Specifically, Google has switched to Mobile-First indexing, which means it gives preference to mobile search results over desktop. But it might not always be in your favor.
For instance, if you are a SaaS provider, you might want to track your desktop rankings as most of your clients will be on desktop and not mobile.
Simply put, with device selection, you will allow us to make your rank tracking data more accurate for your requirements.
Select/Create a Group #
By default, your project will be added to a default category. Still, you can choose to create a category to associate with your website. Grouping projects together makes it easier to manage multiple projects. The Group is essential if you manage multiple clients with multiple projects.
Add Keywords #
You can add as many keywords to track ranking as you want. Ranklogs Rank Tracker supports CSV file import, so you can add keywords in bulk. Additionally, you can export saved keywords from Keyword Explorer or Google Search Console directly into your project.
Once you are done adding keywords, click ‘Next.’
Add Competitors’ Sites #
You probably will want to track your competitor’s ranking along with your website to know how exactly you compare to them and keep track of your rival’s rank changes over time.
Setup: After adding your website > Click on Next > In the next section, you can add competitors.
You can add up to 10 competitor websites. Simply click on ‘Add Competitors’ to add more sites, and once done, click on ‘Save’ at the bottom.
Tip: We make sure you do not miss only any ranking opportunity. The ‘Find Hidden Gems’ functionality lets you know which keywords you are ranking for already. It is always a good idea to work on keywords you are ranking for already rather than trying to target brand new keywords. Once you successfully add your website, Ranklogs Rank Tracker will display such keywords in the ‘Keyword Suggestion’ section at the bottom.
Please note that Ranking Data is available within 30 minutes of adding a project. Still, for some projects with huge data, it can take up to 24 hours to show rank tracking performance.
Once the rank tracking data for your project is available, it’s time to work with the dashboard.
Ranklogs Rank Tracker Dashboard Overview #
Ranklogs Dashboard is an essential feature that provides you a bird-eye view of everything important related to rank tracking and keyword exploration. All projects are displayed here, and you can ‘drag and drop’ and arrange them.
Project Dashboard #
Project Dashboard is where you get an overview of the website’s rank tracking metrics. Here you can see the average ranking, traffic, Rank Metrix, ranking change, top gainers and losers, and more.
Here’s how each function works:
You can switch between projects from the dashboard by selecting the project from the drop-down at the top left.
Change Period #
By default, the data displayed is for one month period for any project. However, you can choose any period between the current date and since you started your campaign. This comes in handy to predict your website ranking performance for a given period.
Filter Tracking Data #
You can apply filters to sort rank tracking data to analyze results. Rank tracking data can be sorted based on:
Positions: Select keywords for which your website ranks within a particular range, such as top 3 positions, top 10, top 50, top 100, or 100+. You can also sort positions depending on improved or declined performance.
KD: Keyword Difficulty allows you to filter results based on the competitiveness and quality of a keyword. It is scaled between Very Easy, Easy, Average, Hard, Very Hard, and Extreme.
Volume: You can also focus on keywords with high search volume by applying this filter to the results. You can select a range of the search volume for this filter.
SERP Features: If you want to explore more than just organic search rankings, then this filter allows you to sort data based on the type of SERP, such as Featured Snippets, Paid Results, Image Results, Map Results, Shopping Results, and more.
Detailed Keyword Overview #
You can look closely at the performance of a particular keyword by clicking it. The opened tab will show you the change in SERP position in the last 24 hours along with KD, PPC Difficulty, Keyword Rank History, Search Volume History, Keyword Traffic (it brings to the site), and Related Searches.
Export Report #
You can download Rank Tracker, and Keyword Explorer reports in PDF and CSV format from the dashboard.
We offer white label reports so that you can use Ranklogs for your agency and client management. You can customize the White Label report settings to include your Logo, Header, and Footer Text.
To edit White Label reports:
Go To Profile > Click on Whitelabel Settings > Make Customizations.
Keyword Explorer #
This tool is the one you need to discover traffic and sales-generating keywords.
It is a lot easier to rank for potential keywords when you know some important meta-data about the keywords, including but not limited to Keyword Difficulty (a measure of how difficult it can be to rank for a keyword, based on a scale of 1-100), Search Volume and Search Trend.
You cannot rely on a few keywords if you want to want high traffic on your website. People do not use the same term for the same product or service; they can use hundreds of different word combinations to describe the same thing.
This is why you should find all keywords people may use for your service or product and prioritize them according to your SEO campaigns.
Setup: Select Keyword Explorer > Enter the Keyword > Select Location > Select Language > Submit
Start with a Seed Keyword #
A seed keyword is a term that our Keyword Explorer uses as the base keyword for research. You do not have to think too hard to find the right seed keywords, as you can search for them in the tool.
Just switch to the ‘Search by Domain’ tab, enter the website URL, and select a location. The Keyword Explorer will fetch the keywords associated with the website.
Robust KE Dashboard #
Ranklogs Keyword Explorers offers the most comprehensive insights into the value of a keyword. You can find the keyword difficulty score and the Google and Bing search trend for the keyword. Additionally, you get a detailed Paid Search Overview that informs you about the keyword such as CPC, Traffic Value, Daily Clicks, and Daily Cost.
Keyword Group Highlight is an important feature of the keyword explorer that extends the value of the keyword by offering suggestions to diversify the content with longtail keywords, related questions, and keyword ideas.
Sort Data , Export Reports #
Just as Ranklogs Rank Tracker allows you to sort data from the results, Keyword Explorer data can be sorted based on CPC, Keyword Difficulty and Search Volume. You can also sort data as per the keyword group highlight options.
There is more; you can also export Keyword Explorer white-label reports as PDF and Excel files. It makes our tool a value-for-money keyword explorer for agencies.
How keyword difficulty is calculated? #
The Keyword Difficulty (KD) is the most important among all the Keyword Explorer parameters. We calculate KD based on several data points that analyze a keyword for all kinds of SEO stats, including but not limited to social signals, backlink quality, top 10 ranking pages, and their quality, Alexa Rank, and many more.
Keyword Difficulty value is important as it helps you find keywords that are not only low in competition but is also high in search volume. The KD value is also a clear indicator of how much work will be required to rank for that keyword in the top results.
Site Auditor #
Ranklogs Site Auditor helps you identify the critical and non-critical technical SEO errors that can result in poor organic rankings. You can unleash the power of the Site Auditor to find out the issues hindering your organic growth.
The Site Auditor audits a website for over 100 different SEO issues that are categorized into 5 sections:
- Site Level Issues: Sitemap, Robots.txt, HTML DOCTYPE, HTTPS Redirects, etc.
- Critical Issues: HTTPS, Meta Tags, Duplicate Content, Broken Links, 4xx and 5xx Server Errors, etc.
- SEO Issues: HTML tags, Content Quality & Readability, SEO Unfriendly URLs, Meta Description, Missing ALT texts, etc.
- Performance Issues: Slow pages, CSS and JavaScript errors, Render Blocking Resources, etc.
- Warnings: Content-Encoding Issues, Misspellings, Orphan Pages, Canonical Page Conflicts, etc.
Ranklogs Site Auditor sorts the issues based on their degree of importance. The errors are color-coded for easy identification. You can see the errors and the number of pages with each error on the Site Auditor summary page.
You can view the pages with a given error by selecting the error as shown below:
When you click on an error, the detailed view of pages with each error is displayed. Pages can have multiple technical SEO errors, and all the errors for a page are displayed along with the Page Health score and an option to view Detailed Audit.
Clicking the ‘Detailed Audit’ button gives you a complete overview of a page’s SEO elements. Apart from the SEO errors, you will also find Page Loading Speed overview, Page Readability Test Scores, and Open Graph meta information.
You can also view all the pages with errors by selecting the “All Audited Pages” option. This provides you access to all the pages with errors in a single view. You can quickly sort through the errors using the navigation on the right side.
How to fix the SEO issues? #
Once you find the pages with errors, the next obvious step is to fix them. It is why the Site Auditor provides recommendations on how to fix the errors.
To view recommendations, select the “Need Fixing” option from the Detailed Audit page or the “How to Fix” option from the summary page.
You can also find the quick fixes for SEO issues in our help section.
